Professional Development

Provide safe space training, resource distribution, and consultations to K-12 teachers, staff administrators, and community partners. Help plan and implement local and state-wide summit conferences for youth, educators, counselors and community partners.

Student Organizing

Facilitate program planning, coordinate the SHINE youth leadership team, connect GSA members across the state and support GSA clubs, facilitate the INclued sexual education curriculum for youth.

Development

Raise finances through fundraising, grants, and sponsorships to support GLSEN programming and GLSEN committees.

Policy and Research

Conduct research on and distribute information about local, state and federal policies affecting LGBTQ students. Mobilize community members to take action in contacting legislators, etc.

Volunteer

Conduct outreach to help recruit new virtual and in-person volunteers in each of GLSEN WA’s regions. Help onboard/train volunteers for professional development, GLSEN Washington conferences, Virtual GSA visits, and other opportunities.

Outreach

Conduct outreach to GSA Advisors and school administrators in each of GLSEN Washington's regions. Serve as a liaison between GLSEN Washington and educators or parents in the region to help coordinate logistics like conference transportation and professional Development visits.
